BestBuy has listed the LG Optimus Slide, a low-end android phone, for $200 without any contract signing required. Good for those in US who are looking to buy a simple and cheap smartphone with physical qwerty keyboard.

The $200 price for an unlocked Optimus Slider doesn’t hurt — it gets you 3.2 inch display, 3 MP Camera, full qwerty sliding keyboard, and more notably, Android 2.3. Regarding processor, I think it would a 600MHz one — like in Optimus One and its other variants.

Full spec-sheet should be available soon when the device is officially announced – so keep checking this space!

The Optimus Slider was originally planned for Sprint, but now it seems that the third largest carrier in US was not so much impressed with the old hardware of Slider and thus, passed it secretly to Virgin Mobile — of course, we’re believing BestBuy isn’t wrong in listing it for Virgin Mobile.
