Korean android users got one more option today in the form of just launched LG Optimus Mach LU3000 android phone. The Optimus Mach will be available this week only, in two colors: black and white — both of them look appealing to our eyes. The Optimus series of LG phones is best known for the budget phone LG Optimus One which is selling great world over — it helped LG cross the 2 million units milestone in just 60 odd days — and is sold under different names in US, remember LG optimus S/T/U/etc.

But LG Optimus Mach is one up the level from its optimus one and family friends and boasts of 3.8 inch WVGA touch screen running android 2.2 aka Froyo (said to be a tad faster than other froyo bearded devices), and is powered by a good deal of 1 Ghz TI OMAP 3630 processor, which we find in Droid X too. Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI out, 5 MP camera, etc are also there what makes the phone stand out from the crowd — although not too much — is the music touch by the great composer, Ennio Morricone. What that means to user, you may ask. Well, it entitles them to special treatment in the form ringtones from the great movies like Cinema Paradiso and the Mission — but hey, we didn’t spot the FREE word either here!

So, whether you should buy the LG Optimus Mach or not? And why?

Well, the phone surely looks good but don’t forget this is the home of Samsung’s Galaxy S too, which has been the best android phone this year in terms of sales, racking up 5 million units, even launching after the likes of Droid X and Droid incredible and EVO. Galaxy S is till the best hardware out there and LU 3000 misses the here by far.

But if looks matter to you — apart from the fact that Froyo of LG is much better than that of Sammy’s — we would say Optimus Mach has gotten very impressive guts here. The 3.8 inch screen with 1 Ghz OMAP processor is really a deal but again LG’s own other offering can spoil the deal a bit. Or totally. You’ve already heard about the LG Star a lot, didn’t you? The phone’s local name is rumored to be LG Optimus 2x — named after the dual-core processor it will come equipped with — and is said to be launching very first and very soon in Korea, ahead of US/UK/etc. So, it is really a phone to look after since you will not be behind any other phone in hardware terms till let’s say, mid 2011 at least. And if dual-core didn’t excite you either, what about the Google Nexus S, the best android phone right now, very hard to resist.

So, wrapping it up, if you like the Mach’s look very much and are a total fan of Ennio Morricone, you needn’t wait for either of dual-core phone and Nexus S in Korea. But don’t look towards us when you miss the frequent updates which Nexus S will be getting sooner than everyone and the gaming experience which LG Star will be setting examples of, thanks to nVidia’s 1 GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor. We’ve already warned you!

So, let’s discuss who thinks what of the LG Optimus Mach? BTW, here is what Mach (short for Mach No.) means.
