Europe was one of the first markets to get Android Oreo on the Motorola Moto Z back in April 2018, but since then, users of this handset in the same region have been starved as far as software updates are concerned. But this ends today.

According to some of our readers from Europe, the Moto Z is now receiving an update that installs a new Android security patch for the month of May 2018. Although not the latest, it’s the best you can get for now, so make sure you download the update right away.

The new update carries software version OPLS27.76-51-5, up from version OPL27.76-51 that brought Oreo and March 2018 security patches. But since it’s an OTA update, not everyone will get the download notification at the same time, so don’t fret if the update hasn’t arrived on your Moto Z by now. It’ll be there sooner than later.
