Considering that it is one of the largest consumer markets in the world, it wasn’t surprising that Samsung was quick to push out the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in India just a week after its release at the MWC 2018. While being consistently updated over the months, the latest software update for the 2018 flagship devices from Samsung brings a bunch of extras packed away in its 426MB file size.

The firmware version G965FXXU1BRE5 for the Galaxy S9+ (G960FXXU1BRE5 for the S9) brings VoLTE and VoWiFi support on both the SIM cards, so now you can enjoy uninterrupted HD calling connectivity regardless of your primary or secondary SIM. Additionally, the changelog suggests that the “security of your device has been improved” alongside a bunch of stability improvements and bug fixes.
The update is currently rolling out to users across the Indian subcontinent and should be available in other regions soon. Expect the OTA notification to reach you automatically, or go ahead and check for it manually by heading over to Settings – Software Update – Download updates manually.
