A new update is now available for the BBM Android app. If you’ve got a BlackBerry device, you may want to update the app as it includes several new improvements and changes.
The official change-log on the Play Store states that the latest version will see improvements when sharing media. All the images and videos sent or received via the BBM app are now in HD quality. You no longer have to tap the Request HD option.

The new update also gives users the ability to control their data usage. You can choose to select only Wi-Fi for media download, or you opt in for using both Wi-Fi and data. Apart from these changes, it is now free to customize your BBM PIN, and you can change the background colors for chats. There’s also a new Grid view under Discover.
