The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active had received its fair share of Nougat at the start of this Month. Today, AT&T is starting to push out the May security patch to the device. The update, which is seeding Over the Air, is identified as software version G890AUCU6DQE1. The carrier has been on roll this week and has brought a good majority of its high end devices to the May security patch.

The security patch essentially protects your device from viruses, malware and other vulnerabilities that can be taken advantage of by hackers. The update also includes system enhancements, removes glitches in the system interface and irons out other prevalent issues from the previous build G890AUCU6DQD1. The OTA update is pretty small and sized around 15MB.

The update will be rolled out in stages, so if you haven’t received the update notification yet, you need not worry as you may only need to wait a bit. You can try checking manually from Settings » Software update.
