The Sony Xperia T uses a 4.55-inches LCD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, making it one of the sharpest displays at a pixel density of around 323ppi. But according to thejosetree of XDA Developers forums, the Xperia T display’s quality seems vastly inferior to the Xperia ion‘s when compared side by side, even though both should be sporting the same display.
Comparison images show the Xperia T display having lower contrast levels and looking washed out when looked at from an angle. It could be a problem with the particular handset, but according to the Xperia Blog, there have been other reports of a “washed out” display as well, which means that it could be affecting a large number of Xperia T’s.
Have you noticed poor contrast levels on your Xperia T? Do let us know in the comments, and also check out some more comparison images of the Xperia T and ion displays below. Let’s hope Sony comes up with an official explanation about all this.
