The Featured Photos widget on iOS 26 now gets an immersive 3D-like spatial tilt effect, impressing and annoying users alike.
In iOS 26 Developer Beta 1, the Featured Photos widget doesn’t just show memories anymore—it moves with you. As shown in the video below, photos on the Home Screen now enter a “spatial view” that gently shifts based on how you tilt the device, adding depth and interactivity.
Redditor u/illegalbugtrader showcased the change, and reactions poured in. Some like u/CGNelson called it “a subtle but satisfying upgrade,” while u/badhabit777 felt it was unnecessary: “Not everything needs to move.”
u/tonymillion asked if it could be toggled off, and u/DefinitelyNotDale suggested battery drain concerns. Still, others like u/Fries4Us praised the smoothness and visual polish.
It’s small touches like these that Apple fans often obsess over—but clearly, not everyone loves a dancing widget. Let’s hope there’s a settings toggle soon.
