Huawei GR5 Mini, a smaller variant of the popular Android smartphone Huawei GR5, has been spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench running Android 7.0 Nougat. Based on this, we can infer that Huawei is working on releasing a new GR5 Mini smartphone with Android Nougat on board.

The Huawei phone based on Android Nougat with model number NMO-L31 has appeared on Geekbench.

The mid-range phone was released in 2015 with Android Lollipop on board which was later upgraded to Android Marshmallow and now has been bumped to Nougat OS.

The Huawei GR5 Mini sports a sleek metal body with 5.2 FHD display (1920X1080 pixels resolution). Powered by an octa core Kirin 650 SoC which is efficient, the phone packs in a powerful 3000mAH non-removable battery. The RAM is 2GB while the internal storage on board is 16GB expandable upto 128GB.

In terms of camera, the device flaunts a 13MP rear shooter and an 8MP selfie snapper. It is available in three color options- Gold, Silver and Gray.

Huawei has also launched the 2017 avatar of Huawei GR5 in January which is known as Honor 6X in some regions.
