Huawei has finally launched their mid-range smartphone, the Ascend G6, in India. The phone is a Single SIM phone which features a 4.5″ qHD display, and runs on an unknown Quad Core Processor.
The Ascend G6 has 1GB of RAM, but just 4GB of Internal storage, and supports upto 32GB of external storage via a microSD slot. Impressively, the phone sports a 5 Megapixel camera on the front, and an 8 Megapixel camera on the rear. The G6 will run Android 4.3 JellyBean out of the box, with Huawei Emotion 2.0 Lite. Whether the phone will receive an OS update for Android 4.4 KitKat remains to be seen.
- Operating System: Android v4.3 Jelly Bean, Huawei Emotion 2.0 Lite
- Display: 4.5 inches qHD IPS 540 x 960 pixels
- Processor: 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Quad Core Processor
- RAM: 1 GB RAM
- Storage: 4 GB
- Camera: 8 MP Primary Camera, 5 MP Secondary Camera
- Battery: 2000 mAh
The Huawei Ascend G6 has been priced at Rs. 16,999 and is available via the online retailer Flipkart. (Note: It is available in Black color only.)
The phone’s specifications are not all impressive considering the price, and it will face stiff competition from the likes of the Moto G, and the Alcatel One Touch Idol X+, which offer a better experience in this budget.
