The recently launched HTC U11 is currently a receiving a software update in the Middle East and Africa. The update, which goes by the version number 1.13.401.1 weighs 333MB and brings system enhancements.
The update, in addition to the system enhancements, brings June security patch for the device. As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.
It is advisable to keep your handset charged as high as 50% while installing the update and connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update.

Since the update is OTA, you will be notified about it. However, if you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
To recall, the HTC U11 features 5.5″ Quad HD Super LCD5 display protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and comes with EDGE sense that allows you to interact with features with just a squeeze.
Under the hood, there is Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The device is powered by 3000mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android Nougat out of the box.
