HTC’s recently unveiled flagship handset, the HTC U11 is now up for grabs on Optus. So far, the device has only been available for pre-orders in Australia, but starting today, you can directly purchase the handset from Optus.
The smartphone is available in two colors: Black and Silver. As far as prices are concerned, the monthly plans start at AUD 59 and reach as high as AUD 160 for which you will eventually end up paying a minimum total cost of AUD 1,416 or maximum of AUD 3,840 over the 24 months depending on the plan you choose.
HTC U11 was launched last month with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 onboard. The smartphone comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM based on where you buy it and offers a minimum of 64GB onboard storage. You can also expand the storage further up to 256GB with a microSD.

There’s a 5.5-inch LCD 5 QHD display at the front with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It also comes with IP67 certification meaning it’s resistant to dust and water to a certain extent.
The highlight of the phone is the Edge Sense feature which allows you to squeeze on the edges of the phone to invoke different functionalities.
There’s a 12MP f/1.7 camera at the back and a 16MP sensor at the front for selfies. The smartphone ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and comes with a 3,000mAh battery to back the device.
