It seems like the HTC finally got a break with the HTC U11. The company’s smartphone business has been degrading over the past couple of years. That, however, seems to be changing.

According to a company executive, the HTC U11 has recorded strong sales ever since it’s launched back in May. Also, the U11 sold better in comparison to its predecessors (the HTC 10 and One M9) during the first month after going on sale. The company, however, didn’t reveal the sale numbers to corroborate their claims.

Chang Chia-lin, President of Smartphone and Connected Devices Business further added that the shortage in global availability of HTC U11 will be addressed by early July.

Cher Wang, HTC Chairwoman, on the other hand, said that despite a net loss of NTD10.6 billion (USD 349 million) in 2016, the company will produce “satisfactory financial results next year.”
