HTC has made the U11 EYEs handset official in Taiwan, its home country.

The HTC U11 EYEs is the latest addition to HTC’s U11 series that follows the HTC U11 Life and HTC U11+ launched a few months ago. We’re charting here everything you need to know about the upcoming phone, including its specs, features, release date, and availability.

HTC U11 EYEs: A quick view

The U11 EYEs is basically a U11 with price knock, that results in specs taking a bit of a drop too, but the company is still managing to give you a bezel-less display here which was absent — and our only cry — the U11 itself.

The U11 picks up some of the top specs, like a 6-inch bezel-less Super LCD3 screen, 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 652 processor (a bit old, yes!), larger 3930 mAh battery, and HTC’s Edge Sense which can also be found even on the Pixel 2.

But the primary reason you want this phone is because of its super-admirable looks — the design and build quality of this phone unmatchable in the range, where you have the crowd-favorite like OnePlus 5T, and the Samsung’s new shot, the Galaxy A8 Plus.

That, and the superior performance you can expect from an HTC phone. Along with minimal-ish Sense UI atop the Android Nougat OS, the U11 EYEs should keep the workflow void of any lag and issues whatsoever.

Besides the killer looks, the HTC U11 EYEs is packed decently by the company. It’s clear they had to save on costs, thus the use of Snapdragon 652 processor, that has long been replaced by Snapdragon 653 and 660 processors. That’s not bad, actually, as SD652 is a decent chip – -and even though OnePlus offers you superb SD835 for this price, even Samsung has had to cut the cost down with the processor by deploying an Exynos 7885 chipset.

That the shiny eye-catching back of the U11 EYEs is complemented by a bezel-less display on the front, that also houses a dual 5MP camera, is a good offer from HTC. You also get a super 12MP rear cam, which is one of the best in the industry, and ample 64GB of storage, which is kind-of minimum built-in storage nowadays. The U11 EYEs should easily last you a day even with slightly heavy usage thanks to the 3930 mAh battery that powers the device.

You also get Face Unlock, which can be activated by pushing the sides of the device (Edge Sense, you know), and it’s also IP67 certified.

Given this is quite a hefty price tag, HTC is throwing in a bunch of freebies for those who purchase the phone between now and the beginning of next month.
