HTC is rolling out a new firmware update to its premium U Ultra device. The update brings with it system enhancements and bug fixes.
Arriving over the air, the software update is being seeded to HTC U Ultra as version 1.62.401.1. Surprisingly, the update weighs 515MB, which is quite big to contain only important enhancements and fixes for regular bugs.
As is the case with OTA updates, it may take a while to reach your device. Alternately, if you own an HTC U Ultra, you can check for it yourself. Head to Settings > About device > System updates. But before going for the download button, ensure that your smartphone is sufficiently charged and connected to a WiFi network.
HTC launched this premium U Ultra phone in January with a glass back. The phone sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a second screen on top of it which houses HTC’s virtual assistant Sense Companion. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC. Underneath, the phone packs in 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. Power comes courtesy a 3000mAh battery. The imaging department is taken care of by a 12-Ultrapixel rear shooter and a 16MP selfie snapper.
