HTC U Ultra is currently receiving a new software update. The new update bearing version number 1.62.708.1 is rolling out as an OTA update.
To recall, HTC U Ultra was launched in January this year with the Snapdragon 821 processor, a 5.7-inch QHD display protected by Sapphire glass, Android Nougat, 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB memory.
The update, which weighs 595MB brings many system enhancements and improvements. Besides that, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect stability improvements from the update.

It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and since the update weighs around 595MB, make sure you have enough free storage. Further, keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.
And, if you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates.
