The HTC One M9 has been recently getting the Android Nougat 7.0 love. Now, HTC is pushing out another update based on Nougat, which includes several bug fixes and system improvements. This update is for the unlocked variant of the One M9 and also installs the latest January Android security patch.

The One M9 first received the Nougat update in December with the software version 4.14.617.6. This new update carries the software version 4.23.617.1 and has been available as OTA for almost a week now. HTC today posted the full RUU of the update and users can download it to manually flash it. You can download the RUU from our HTC RUU collection page.

This update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC Sense 8.0 on board. The carrier locked One M9 variants should also start receiving the Nougat update soon. T-Mobile recently confirmed that the update is ready for deployment.

If you’re using an unlocked US variant of the HTC One M9, then you must’ve already received the update via OTA. In case you haven’t, you can now download the RUU and install the update manually.
