It’s that time of the year again when tad rumors begin to roll out for flagship devices from the likes of Samsung, HTC, and Sony begins. HTC’s upcoming flagship device, HTC One M9 is making the rumor mill trips by the codename Hima. We previously heard of it in a news related to HTC Sense 7 and now thanks to @upleaks, we also have complete HTC One M9 specs with us.
HTC is one of the most premium Android smartphone manufacturer. The company’s current flagship, HTC One M8 is the best looking Android smartphone with its metal unibody and classy looks. HTC’s One series began with HTC One M7, the M8 current flagship and the next will be the HTC One M9 and its codename is Hima.
As you’d expect from a flagship device, the HTC One M9 specs are top of the line. The rumored M9 specs suggests the processor to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Quad-core but it’s not certain yet if it’ll be 2.0 GHz or 1.5GHz. The device will have 3GB RAM and a whopping 20MP camera on the back. I’m guessing it’s safe to assume that the HTC One M9 will also have a similar setup of dual camera’s on the back as on the M8. Anyway, what’s truly mind blowing here is the 13 MP (or a 4MP ultrapixel) camera on the front, perfect stuff for this selfie obsessed times we’re living in.
The leaked HTC One M9 specs rumor suggests the display to be a 5.0 inch full HD display. This is one thing that doesn’t sound right. HTC needs to get bigger with the M9. Google’s latest Nexus device sports a massive 5.9 inch display and Apple’s new iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inches too, also both Samsung and LG have massive 5.5 inches premium smartphones. Even last year’s HTC One M8 was 5.0 inches, so we expect the HTC One M9 display to be at-least 5.3 or 5.5 inches in size. Also, the device’s resolution couldn’t settle at just being full HD when other manufacturers are already bringing in Quad HD 2560×1440 display resolution.

The leaked specs report the HTC One M9 battery to be 2840 mAh. If the display size is to be 5.0 inches then 2840 mAh battery would hold up well, but if HTC chooses to use a larger display with Quad HD resolution (which it should) than we expect the device to not use anything below 3200 mAh battery for optimal battery life.
One of the most exciting part of HTC One M9 will be the release of Sense 7 with it. HTC Sense is a custom skin by HTC that’s used on all of HTC devices that runs on Android. Current version is Sense 6 and it powers HTC One M7, M9 and a few others. Mid-range HTC devices run on Sense 5.3, but most of them might get Sense 6 if they receive the official lollipop update from HTC.
We heard about HTC Sense 7 first in late October when the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop by Google was near. Above is the leaked screenshot of HTC Sense 7 running on a HTC One M8. Previously, we had known Sense 7 to release with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to HTC One M7 and M8, but a recent leak of HTC One M8 running Android 5.0.1 lollipop firmware confirmed Sense 6 on the lollipop build for the released flagship devices. The HTC Sense 7 will debut with HTC One M9 and it’ll be one of the most highlighting feature of the device.

HTC One M9 will come in four color choices Gray, Silver, Gold and Gunmetal Gold. Knowing that One M9 will be completely metal like its predecessor, all of these color choices are going to look absolutely amazing as they did on the M8. We had the Gunmetal Gray on the HTC One M8 and it looked amazing on that, and it seems HTC is bringing the Gunmetal Gold as well with HTC One M9.
