HTC’s 2015 flagship, the One M9 is receiving a new OTA update that installs the March security patch on the smartphone.
Weighing in at 466.77MB, the OTA is arriving with the firmware build 4.30.617.2. It brings along several enhancements and bug fixes to the smartphone alongside the aforesaid monthly security patch.
As the update is being rolled over-the-air (OTA), it may or may not hit your device instantly. In case you are among the curious ones, you can head straight to Settings > About device > System updates to check for it manually.

Although the update that’s being rolled out currently isn’t a major one, it does contain some enhancements and fixes that will improve the security level of your smartphone on the whole. So, you might want to install it. Before hitting the install button, make sure to take a back up of your data which will come in handy should there be any issue.
Also, do make a note that you won’t be able to use your phone while the installation process is running.
The HTC One M9 (unlocked) got to taste the sweetness of Nougat quite some time ago with the carrier locked ones receiving the update only recently.
