HTC is finally seeding the Android Nougat update to HTC One A9 in Europe, starting with Belgium. The update comes with software version 2.17.401.2 and brings along February security patches for the device.

Before this, HTC had rolled out Nougat update to HTC One A9 in the company’s home country Taiwan and USA.

As is the nature of OTA updates, it won’t hit all devices at the same time. So, fret not and wait until you get the update notification. If you’re not the one to wait though, you can always check for the update manually via Settings > About device > System updates and click on the “Check for updates” button.

It’s always safe to backup data before updating the device. Also, make sure to charge your device, maintain at least 50% of battery before beginning the process.
