HTC Ocean Note to release in January 2017

The latest rumor around HTC Ocean Note suggests that the device will be officially announced on January 27th, 2017.

We first saw a HTC Ocean phone in a leaked video which showcased a HTC phone with a button-less design. Sources claimed that it’s an upcoming device from the Taiwanese manufacturer that will feature a unique body design with no physical buttons to operate Volume and Power controls on the body. Instead, the phone will have touch sensitive bezels to control Volume, Power and other added features.

The idea of a button-less phone is exciting, no doubt about that, but further leaks about the device such as a leaked case suggested that HTC Ocean Note indeed has buttons.

However, rumor also has it that HTC will be releasing multiple devices in the first quarter of 2017. This devices could be multiple variants of HTC Ocean, and HTC Ocean Note might be one of the variants of the device with no button-less design features.

Either way, we’re really looking forward to see a real life device with touch sensitive bezels to operate Volume and Power controls and a handful of other software based functionality such design could bring to a smartphone.
