The Wayfarer is located in the Sundara Land itself. However, you will cross ways with him during exploration quests.

Explore the map areas in Qinghe.
Locate the Wayfarer NPC near the tree.
Talk to the Wayfarer about "Far in distance."
This triggers a cutscene that unlocks the Sundara Land Map
