The harsh Finnish winter in My Winter Car requires you to pay close attention to your body temperature and get some shuteye when you're fatigued. But while the game ties in realistic survival mechanics, it doesn't tell you much about anything else (similar to Green Hell). But the idea is simple - get inside, adjust room temperature or get a fire going, wait a while, and hit the bed. Here's how to go about it.
How to prepare your room temperature
Indoor areas like the Teimo bar or the gas station are always warmer alternatives to freezing outdoors. But you can also go to your parents' house, the Ventti bench, or saunas.

Wherever you go, make sure to prepare the room temperature:
Step 1
Firstly, find thermostats and radiators (typically mounted on a wall, sometimes in the hallway)

Interact (E) on the unit and crank the temperature up to 25-30C.
Step 2
If you're near a fireplace, light it. Stand near it to get warm or place a sofa nearby for sleep.
Step 3
Make sure the doors are closed and the room is being heated.
How to warm your body temperature
You body bar must turn pink before you can sleep. If it's blue or white, it's too cold to sleep.

Here's how to ensure that it gets pink:
Step 1
Eat hot microwave food to raise temperature fast indoors. Beer works too.

Step 2
Use sauna if inside, or your car heater if you're outside. Make sure the engine is running, the heater is turned to maximum, and the blower is on. You can also turn on the Window Heater.

Step 3
Wait 5-10 minutes for the interior to warm up. Check the HUD and see if your body bar has turned pink and filling.
Step 4
Wear winter clothes like jacket, pants, gloves, etc.
How to initiate sleep
Once you are warm, go to a sleeping spot like a bed or a safe. You can bring the sofa inside if there isn't one available indoors. Then hold F key for 2-5 seconds. The screen should fade as you go to sleep.

Fixes for sleep blocks
In most cases, waiting a couple of minutes after the room heats up should get your temperature high enough for sleep. Grab food or drinks to refill the bar above 50%, then rest.
If the pipes are frozen, they will block the heat. In this case, light the fireplace and warm the entire house. Monitor the kitchen thermometer until the pipes thaw.

If you've done the above - crank all heaters to max, close every door, etc. - and still experience issues, it's very likely a bug. Restart the game if the issue persists.
