How to Set View Week in Calendar in Notion

Notion has become an all-in-one productivity tool for teams and individuals who want to keep track of tasks, projects, and ideas they’re working on. You can use it to create pages, databases, and templates for a flexible workspace that offers a wide range of functions like note-taking, to-do lists, calendar views, and more.

As convenient as the tool has been, one feature that its users have highly requested is the ability to view their tasks and events in a weekly format. Until now, the only way users could access their tasks was through the monthly calendar view. With the latest update, Notion now offers a way to switch the calendar view inside a page to a weekly format, and in this post, we’ll explain how to activate it.

Where can you use the week view in Notion

Notion allows you to change the appearance of a page to weekly view as long as the page includes any of the following types of data inside it:

  • To-do lists
  • Projects
  • Tasks
  • Meetings
  • Calendar

If the page you’re working on has daily data embedded inside it, you can activate the week view for the selected page inside Notion.

How to enable the week view in Notion

To enable the week view on Notion, select the page from the left sidebar where you want to enable it.

When the selected page loads up, click on the 3-dot icon at the top right corner (on the left of the New button).

Inside the View options menu that appears, click on Layout

Here, select Calendar from the Layout menu.

Once the Calendar tile is selected, click on the Show calendar option.

From the dropdown menu, select Week

You will now be able to see all of your tasks, to-do lists, meetings, and projects in a weekly format that starts from Sunday all the way up to Saturday. You should be able to see the current data marked with a red circle.

To view your tasks and projects from the previous or next weeks, you can click on the left or right arrows on either side of “Today”. At any point, you can return back to the current day’s view by clicking on Today

That’s all you need to know about enabling the Week view for the Calendar layout inside Notion.
