What to know
- Firewood is sold to Reijo Livaloinen (the Corris Rivett seller) at his house in Peräjärvi, not to random NPCs.
- You need the Corris Rivett, the Kekmet tractor, trailer, axe, and firewood cutter from the woodshed near your parents’ house.
- Each piece of firewood sells for 20 MK; a full trailer (160 pieces) gives 3,200 MK.
- Deliver before midnight, or Reijo won’t be outside to pay you.
The firewood job is one of the simplest and most reliable ways to earn steady early-game money in My Winter Car. Once unlocked, it offers a repeatable loop with no penalties, decent payouts, and minimal risk, perfect for funding repairs, fuel, and upgrades while you learn the game. This guide covers how to unlock the job, cut firewood efficiently, and deliver full loads to maximize your profit.
How to Unlock the Firewood Job
The firewood side hustle unlocks after you purchase the Corris Rivett from Reijo Livaloinen. Head to the PSK gas station in Peräjärvi and check the car sale poster for the Rivett, then use the phone to call Reijo and arrange the purchase. Once you buy the car, Reijo will mention that he needs firewood and point you toward the required equipment. After that, visit the woodshed near your parents’ house to collect the tools and get started.
Equipment you’ll need
To cut and sell firewood efficiently, gather these items from the woodshed:
- Kekmet 502 tractor – powers the firewood cutter via PTO.
- Trailer – used to carry the cut firewood to Reijo.
- Firewood cutter – the machine that chops logs into firewood pieces.
- Axe – for manually chopping logs if the cutter isn’t working yet.
- Drive shaft – connects Kekmet to the firewood cutter.
Make sure the firewood cutter’s belt is positioned close to the trailer so the cut wood drops directly into it.
How to cut firewood quickly
Cutting firewood is the biggest time sink in this job, so efficiency matters if you want to make money quickly. Setting up the cutter properly and working in full batches saves a lot of time, and if you want a deeper breakdown, check out our detailed guide on using the Firewood Cutter.
Step 1: Set Up the Firewood Cutter
Attach the drive shaft from the Kekmet to the firewood cutter. Start the tractor, set it to Neutral + Low (N + Low), and engage the PTO to power the cutter. Finally, position your trailer so the cutter’s belt drops the firewood pieces directly into it.

Step 2: Chop the Logs
Pick up logs from the pile near the woodshed and feed them into the firewood cutter. Each log produces 12 firewood pieces, and you’ll need roughly 160 pieces to fill the trailer. Keep loading logs until the trailer is full or nearly full. If the cutter breaks or won’t start, you can use the axe to chop logs by hand, but it’s significantly slower.

How to deliver and sell firewood
Once the trailer is loaded, drive to Reijo’s house in Peräjärvi to sell the firewood.
Step 1: Hitch the loaded trailer
Hitch the loaded trailer to Kekmet by reversing near the attachment and lower the rear hitch.

Step 2: Drive to Reijo’s House
Carefully drive to Reijo’s driveway in Peräjärvi. Try to arrive before midnight, as Reijo usually isn’t outside to accept deliveries after that.

Step 3: Unload and Get Paid
Reverse the trailer into Reijo’s driveway and position it close to the ground. Open the trailer’s rear, then lift it to dump the firewood out. Once the wood is unloaded, walk up to Reijo and talk to him, he’ll count the pieces and pay 20 mk per firewood.

A full trailer (160 pieces) gives 3,200 MK, which is a solid early-game payday.

Firewood rewards and income
| Delivery | Firewood pieces | Payment (MK) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small load | ~50–80 pieces | 1,000–1,600 MK | Good for quick cash between jobs |
| Full trailer | 160 pieces | 3,200 MK | Best early quick-money run |
| Per hour (with practice) | ~200–300 pieces | 4,000–6,000 MK | With efficient cutting and driving |
Tips for faster money
- Pre‑cut wood during free time – Chop extra logs when you’re not busy so you can load and deliver quickly.
- Keep the cutter running – Fix any issues with the belt or PTO so you don’t waste time restarting.
- Combine with other jobs – Use the same Kekmet and trailer for other tasks (like ad delivery or taxi) to maximize hourly income.
- Sell before midnight – Always aim to deliver before 24:00 so Reijo is outside and ready to pay.
