What to know
- Rolling is a key movement mechanic that helps you survive high falls.
- To roll, press the crouch button at the right time when you jump off a high ledge.
- You can climb up to four blocks high in Hytale, allowing for more vertical exploration.
Movement is a fundamental part of Hytale's gameplay, offering more freedom than traditional block-based games. From climbing tall ledges to performing rolls, mastering these techniques will help you navigate Orbis and survive dangerous falls.
How to Roll in Hytale
To perform a roll, first find a ledge or high point to jump from.

As you fall, wait until you are near the ground and then press the crouch button.

If timed correctly, your character will perform a forward roll, absorbing much of the impact and allowing you to continue moving without losing as much health.

Beyond rolling, Hytale also features an advanced climbing system. You can scale vertical surfaces up to four blocks high, which significantly expands your options for traversing the landscape.
By combining these climbing and rolling techniques, you can become much more agile and efficient during exploration and combat.
