Ubisoft has recently revealed the latest preview for their upcoming battle royale FPS shooter, Hyper Scape, and have planned a whole deluge of Twitch Drops for stream participants during their live technical tests (beta?) starting July 2nd — including the possibility to take part in the test itself before it ends on July 7th!
The game introduces a new form of reward system for streamers which relies on the performance of your stream for in-game upgrades. Not only this, but contributions from your viewers will also be converted to in-game rewards.
Naturally, multiple streamers are rushing in to link their Ubisoft accounts and Twitch accounts to enjoy this offer. If you want to join in on the fun as well, then check out the guide below that will help you connect your Twitch account with your Ubisoft account.
How to link your Twitch and Ubisoft accounts to get Hyper Space beta access
Open the browser on your desired gaming device and visit this link to reach Hyper Space game’s page at Ubisoft. Once there, click on ‘Register‘ at the bottom of the Game preview.
You will then be taken to a page that splits the process into three different sections. The first one being linking your Ubisoft and Twitch accounts. Click on ‘Link Accounts‘ on the left side of your screen.
This will take you to the following introduction page for drops. Click on ‘Get Started‘.
On the next page, click on ‘Login with Twitch‘ on the left side.
A minimized window will now appear with the Twitch login page. Enter your credentials and click on ‘Login‘ when you are done.
Twitch will then send a verification code to your registered email address. Enter the code and click on ‘Submit‘ in the bottom right corner.
You will now get a disclaimer stating all the information that will be exchanged between the two services on your behalf. If you agree, click on ‘Authorize‘ at the bottom of your screen.
Note: You can not proceed if you do not click on ‘Authorize‘.
Once you click on ‘Authorize‘ you will be asked to log in to your Ubisoft account. Enter your credentials and click on ‘Log In‘.
You will then see a loading screen which means the accounts are being linked. The wait time depends on your network speed and the server load on Ubisoft’s and Twitch’s end.
You should see the following page once your accounts are linked together.
You can then return to the following webpage below.
Your accounts should now be linked together and you should be able to proceed with the process to become a beta tester for Hyper Scape.
Is there any limitation to the beta testing program?
Apart from the ‘drop’ nature and the requirement to stand a chance to become a beta tester by watching twitch streams, there are also region restrictions. This is due to the data center locations of Ubisoft that have distance requirements to maintain a stable and playable connection.
Following are the countries whose players will be eligible to beta test Hyper Scape, the rest of the players from other countries will simply have to wait for the official release.
- Austria
- Belgium
- Canada
- Denmark
- France
- Germany
- Ireland
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Norway
- Portugal
- Spain
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
- USA
