The only way to expand medicine slots is by upgrading the Medicine Chest at the Evercare Clinic.

Travel to the Evercare Clinic, which appears in early-game regions and remains accessible as you progress. The clinic serves as the hub for medicine-related upgrades.
Step 3
Speak with the clinic NPC (commonly Yao Yaoyao) and choose the Medicine Chest upgrade option. Submitting Medicinal Tales permanently raises your medicine capacity.
Step 4
Confirm the upgrade to immediately increase the maximum number of usable medicine charges. Some higher tiers also improve healing effectiveness.
