What to know

  • Shadoweave Scraps are dropped by Outlander enemies in tier‑3 snowy zones like Bural Reach and Everrost.
  • You can also find them in chests inside the large monuments in those zones.
  • Each Outlander kill gives around 4 Shadoweave Scraps, and all Outlander variants in those areas drop them.
  • This material is mainly used to upgrade your workbench to Tier 3 and to craft Shadoweave gear.

Shadoweave Scraps are an essential mid-game resource found in tier-3 snowy zones and are required to upgrade your workbench to Tier 3 and craft Shadoweave gear. In this guide, we’ll quickly cover where they spawn, how to farm them efficiently, and why you’ll need to collect them to progress.

Where Shadoweave Scraps spawn

Shadoweave Scraps are a mid‑game resource tied to tier‑3 zones, specifically snowy biomes like Boreal Reach and EverFrost. These zones are considered Boreal or cold tier‑3 areas, so any snowy region in that tier should have the enemies and structures that drop this material.

Inside these zones, look for large, ancient monuments on the map; they’re easy to spot and usually contain the enemies and chests that hold Shadoweave Scraps. These monuments are the key farming spots, not just random open fields or caves.

How to get Shadoweave Scraps

Step 1: Travel to a tier‑3 snowy zone

Head to a tier‑3 snowy biome such as Boreal Reach or EverFrost. These are cold, mountainous/snowy zones where the environment is visibly icy and the structures are large, ancient monuments.

If you’re early in the game, make sure you have decent armor and weapons before entering these zones, since the enemies here are stronger than in tier‑1 and tier‑2 areas.

Step 2: Find a monument

On your map, look for large, distinct structures that stand out from the surrounding terrain; these are the monuments where Outlanders spawn. They’re usually big, stone‑like ruins or temples, not small huts or camps.

Walk into the monument and explore the interior; you’ll encounter Outlander enemies patrolling or guarding the area.

Step 3: Kill Outlander enemies

Fight and kill the Outlander enemies inside the monument; they drop Shadoweave Scraps on death. According to the guide, each Outlander gives about 4 Shadoweave Scraps per kill.

It doesn’t matter which type of Outlander you kill (e.g., regular Outlander, Outlander Mage, etc.) — all variants in these monuments drop the same Shadoweave Scraps.

Step 4: Loot the chests

While clearing the monument, open any chests you find inside; they also have a chance to contain Shadoweave Scraps. These chests are usually placed in side rooms or at the end of corridors, so make sure to explore thoroughly.

Chests can also contain other useful mid‑game loot, so it’s worth checking them every time you run the monument.

What Shadoweave Scraps are used for

Shadoweave Scraps are mainly used for two key progression steps:

  • Upgrade workbench to Tier 3 – You typically need around 50 Shadoweave Scraps (along with Thorium, Cobalt, Heavy Leather, and Essence of Fire) to unlock the Tier 3 workbench, which lets you craft better gear.
  • Craft Shadoweave armor and weapons – This material is used in recipes for Shadoweave armor sets and some mid‑to‑late game weapons, like certain swords and tools.

Because of this, it’s worth farming a decent stack (64–128 scraps) so you can both upgrade your workbench and craft a full set of Shadoweave gear.

Farming Shadoweave Scraps

Shadoweave Scraps are a straightforward mid‑game material: head to snowy tier‑3 zones like Boreal Reach or EverFrost, find the big monuments, kill Outlanders, and loot the chests inside. Each Outlander gives about 4 scraps, so a few monument runs should be enough to upgrade your workbench and craft Shadoweave gear.

If you’re stuck on a workbench upgrade or need Shadoweave armor, just pick one of those snowy monuments and farm it until your inventory is full of scraps.
