In Green Hell, hydration is an unforgiving survival mechanic that you cannot overlook. The Coconut Bidon is one of the earliest reliable tools you can craft to manage thirst safely without constant river risk. You can also get a metal Bidon to drink water out of. Here's where to find bidons, craft coconut bidons, and how to use them.
Where to find Bidon
You will find a Bidon in the overturned Jeep on the dirt road.

The location for the overturned Jeep is given below.

Head to the Jeep and look for the empty Bidon.

Apart from the metal canteen, you can also make your own Coconut Bidons.
How to get coconuts to make Coconut Bidon
Coconuts are plentiful but not always obvious at first glance. You’ll usually find them on the ground near palm trees or still attached high above.

If on trees, throw stones or blades to knock them down safely. Once collected, coconuts must be processed.

Strike them once or twice before picking them up.

You will also need a liana to craft the bidon. So make sure to pick them up from the trees also.

How to craft the Coconut Bidon
Open your pack and drink the coconut water by interacting with it.

Then check your crafting menu (book icon) for the recipe unlocked after drinking.

Combine the empty coconut with rope made from liana vines to create the bidon.

How to use the Bidon safely
The Bidon is only as safe as the water you put into it. Here's what you got to do for it:
Filling the Bidon with water
Find coconut bowls near a river or pond.

Open your backpack, navigate to the food/tools section, select "pick up" on the bidon, and drag it on top of the bowl.

A dipping icon or green circle appears when aligned. Release on the icon to fill with dirty water; it auto-returns to your inventory.

Making water safe by heating
Place the filled Bidon above the coconut bowl before a lit campfire.

Wait until the water boils.

Once boiled, it becomes safe to drink and store.

Drinking unboiled water risks parasites, which can spiral into serious health problems if ignored.
Green Hell quietly teaches you that survival isn’t about abundance, but foresight. The Coconut Bidon embodies this philosophy. It's a simple object, patiently earned, that turns chaos into routine. If you craft it early, thirst stops being a constant threat and becomes just another system you’ve mastered.
