Requis Essence (quest-based)
Requis Essence is locked behind the second Magical Diver quest in the Tidefall Zone. You don’t gather it by fishing or mining; instead, you hand over specific items to progress the quest.
How to get it:
- Travel to the Tidefall Zone in Fisch.
- Go inside the Sunken Reoquary and find the Magical Diver NPC.
- Give the Magical Diver a Fallen Flying Gernard and an Omnithl.
- Once both items are handed over, Requis Essence is instantly added to your inventory.
- Make sure you have the required items before talking to the Magical Diver, or you’ll have to leave and come back.
Tide Essence & Thalus Essence (event farming)
Tide Essence and Thalus Essence are not obtained by fishing normally; you must mine special Dripstone during a special event called Dripstone Collapse.
Here’s how to get them:
- Stay in the Tidefall area and wait for the “Dripstone Collapse” event to start (a clear on-screen message appears when it’s active).
- When the event begins, go to the Dripstone spawn location and look for the Dripstone.
- Use a pickaxe to mine it; it can drop either Tide Essence, Thalus Essence, or regular rock.
- Keep mining multiple Dripstones until you get the essences you want, since drops are random.
How to trigger Dripstone Collapse
The Dripstone Collapse can be activated naturally by using the Sundial and waiting for the event, or instantly by buying the Dripstone Collapse Totem near the Fallen Rod for 35M coins and using it. The Totem is the fastest way to farm on demand.
Bring a pickaxe and expect to break several stones, as Dripstone can also drop regular rock. It’s recommended to farm all required essences here before progressing further into Tidefall or mermaid content.
