How to fish in Hytale using fishing traps

Step 2: Craft a Farmer’s Workbench

  • Any wood x10
  • Essence of Life x50
  • Plant Fiber x20
  • Iron Ingot x1

Optionally, you can also craft fish bait, which:

  • Increases fish yield
  • Reduces the time required between harvests

To craft Fish Bait, use 3x of any Fruit and 5x Essence of Life

Step 5: Find suitable water

Take the fishing trap to a natural body of water such as a lake, river, or ocean.
