Google’s Earth View has been in existence for over a decade now, featuring a collection of earth’s most beautiful landscapes as seen from space. Google recently updated the feature with 1,000 new images, thus expanding its catalog to 2,500 striking landscapes optimized for high-resolution screens with sharper and brighter images.
Google lets you download the latest Earth View images and set them as wallpapers on your devices. The new images can be accessed inside the Earth View Gallery and you can follow the guide below to access and download the images.

Sharing Google Earth View images
You can share a link to any image on Facebook, Twitter, or any other app. You can do so by tapping the share icon at the top of any image. Once you do that, a pop-up screen will open up prompting you where you might want to share the image. If you want to share the link to an app other than Facebook or Twitter you can tap on ‘Copy link‘.
Finding Earth View images from the map
While you can shuffle through the images on Earth View by repeatedly tapping on the left and right arrows, you can also find the images of the location using the inbuilt map.
Upon opening the Earth View Gallery, tap on the ‘Show Map‘ button at the bottom. You will now see an assortment of locations across the globe whose pictures have been clicked. You can manually select an image by tapping on the location and then download it.
Sorting Earth View images through color
Besides finding imagery through location, Google lets you sort through landscapes by picking a dominant color that’s present on the 2,500+ images in the Earth View catalog.
You can use this feature by tapping the ‘Show Map‘ button at the bottom of the Earth View home screen and slide through the color picker at the bottom of the Earth View map. From here, you can either select images manually by tapping on the desired location or go through a selection of images that are available with the chosen color by tapping on the Show image button at the bottom.
