A pickaxe is one of the most important starter tools in Hytale. Without it, you’re limited in how deep you can explore and what resources you can collect. The good news is that crafting your first pickaxe is fast, simple, and doesn’t require any crafting stations.

Materials required for a pickaxe

To craft a basic (Crude) Pickaxe, you only need a few starter materials that are easy to find around the world.

How to find materials for a Pickaxe in Hytale

Gathering Rubble: Rubble can be found lying on the ground in rocky areas. If you can’t see any, you can also break cobblestone blocks to get them.

Sticks and Fiber: The easiest way to get both sticks and plant fiber is by chopping down trees or breaking bushes.

Crafting Crude Pickaxe in Hytale

Once you have the necessary items, press the Tab key to open your crafting menu. Look for the pickaxe icon in your pocket crafting menu.
