A campfire is a fundamental survival tool in Hytale, providing warmth and a means to process raw resources. The process is designed to be simple, utilizing common items found in the starting environment so you can establish your base quickly.
How to Craft a Fire in Hytale
To begin crafting a campfire, you must first collect the required materials from your surroundings. Scour the nearby area for hedges and foliage, which you can bash to obtain four sticks.

For the stone components, head to a nearby riverbed where you can find and pick up two pieces of rubble.

Once you have these items in your inventory, press the Tab key to open your crafting menu and select the campfire recipe. Click the craft button to create the item, then move it from your inventory into your toolbar.

Find a suitable spot on the ground and use a right-click to place the campfire. To start the fire, interact with it to open the interface, place additional sticks inside as fuel, and select "Turn On" to ignite it.

As the fire burns, you can add raw meat to cook it or wait for the wood to passively transform into charcoal.

By gathering basic sticks and rubble, you can easily craft a campfire to support your early-game survival. This versatile tool is essential for cooking food and generating the charcoal needed for more advanced crafting.
