Fences are essential for creating boundaries, decorative gardens, or livestock pens in Hytale. Because they are considered processed wood products, they require a specific crafting progression.
How to craft a fence
Follow the steps given below to craft a fence in Hytale.
Gather Raw Materials
To build the necessary stations and the fences themselves, you need to collect:
- Tree Trunks: Harvest logs from any tree type.
- Stone: Mine stone from the environment.
Prepare Crafting Stations
You cannot craft fences directly from your inventory. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Standard Workbench
Press Tab to open pocket crafting. Use 4 tree trunks and 3 stones to craft a basic Workbench.
Step 2: Builder's Workbench
Place your Workbench and press F to interact.
Select the Builder's Workbench icon and use 6 tree trunks and 3 stones to craft it.
Crafting the Fence
Once your Builder's Workbench is placed and ready, press F while looking at the Builder's Workbench.
Place any type of log (such as an Oak Log) into the Input slot.
The fence icon will appear in the output options. Select it.
Select it and click Craft to produce your fences.
Placing the Fence
Select the fences from your inventory and Right-Click on the ground to place them. They will automatically connect to adjacent fence pieces.
Crafting fences is a straightforward process once you have established a Builder's Workbench. By processing raw logs through this station, you can create the components needed to secure and decorate your world.
