Her Legacy Walkthrough - Where Winds Meet

Where Winds Meet is an open-world RPG in Wuxia, where players are put under different challenges about the skills they gain on their way through exploration and missions.

The quest “Her Legacy” is an Encounter-type side quest unlocked after Chapter 1. You start it in the region Heaven’s Pier (Qinghe) by interacting with items on shelves in the brewery area.

The quest chain leads you through multiple locations: fishing contest, rooftop clue, bird-shooting contest, etc. Rewards include exploration points, character EXP, currency and other unlocks for completing the steps.

Her Legacy quest walkthrough

Here is how you can complete the Her Legacy encounter quest in Where Winds Meet:

Step 1: Find the mystery item

Travel to the waypoint in Heaven's Pier. It is a winery, find the mystery item on a rack near a fallen woman. This mystery item is a Treasure Map.

Step 2: Find the treasure location with Clue 1

• Clue 1 indicates - "Heroine Rubine Treasure, Guided by fate, seekers shall find"
• Clue 1 location - Peacebell tower in Heaven's Pier.

Step 3: Complete Old Angler's challenge

At the first location, meet the NPC Old Angler. He challenges you to a duel of Fishing.

• Requirements: Fishing rod lvl 1 and 5 Worm Bait
• Objective: Catch 3 Black Bream fish

On completing the fishing duel successfully, you will get the next treasure location.

Step 4: Find the treasure location with Clue 2

Clue 2 indicates General's Shrine in Qinghe.

Step 5: Pick up treasure

Pick up the treasure near the General's Shrine location and interact with the Sweeping Villager to get the 3rd clue for the treasure.

Step 6: Find the treasure location with Clue 3

Clue 3 indicates Kilnfire Ridge in the Qinghe region. Finding this can be tricky, look for a Temple area with a large statue in front. (East Hill above Emperor Chai Temple)

Step 7: Speak to the Woodcutter

Woodcutter is a hidden NPC in the Kilnfire Ridge. He is near a tree on the left side of the Shrine courtyard. Ask him about the Red Heroine.

Step 8: Find hidden treasure on the rooftop

Woodcutter suggests to find the hidden treasure on the roof of the Shrine. Here you will find the 4th clue. Use the Wind Sense skill to get to the roof.

Step 9: Find the treasure location with clue 4

• Clue 4 indicates "A tiny white bird flies along the cliff's bed. Head bowed down low, treasure hung on the bird's tiny tread."
• Clue 4 location: Bamboo Abode Qinghe.

Step 10: Talk to the Hunter

Reach the treasure location to meet the NPC Hunter; he will challenge you to complete bird hunting with him. Defeat him to find the next clue.

Step 11: Reach Bamboo Grove Hut

Use the Bamboo Retreat boundary stone waypoint to fast teleport to the Bamboo Grove Hut. Defeat wolves around the hut and get the last clue, "Challenge the Cur" about Uncle Jiangh's enemy.

Step 12: Search for Ruby's letter

On the back of the hut, find Ruby's letter. Inspect the letter to find out that she lived in the Bamboo Grove Hut.

Step 13: Talk to Ruby and complete the quest

Go inside the hut to meditate, but on hearing a familiar voice, you track down Ruby in the dream. Talk to Ruby and this completes the Her Legacy Encounter quest.
