What is Pixel Care+ by Google?

Google launched Pixel Care+ on August 27, 2025, as a new protection program for Pixel and select Fitbit devices. It replaces older plans like Google Preferred Care and Fi Device Protection, offering broader coverage for eligible devices.

Pixel Care+ coverage

Pixel Care+ covers unlimited accidental damage claims, mechanical issues, and extended warranties. Screen and battery repairs have no deductible, and Google uses genuine parts for all repairs and replacements. An optional add-on for loss and theft is available (except in New York) with a $60-$100 deductible for replacements.

Availability and list of eligible devices under Pixel Care+

Available only in the US at the moment, the Pixel Care+ program supports:

  • Pixel 8, 9, and 10 series (including Pro, XL, Fold, and 9a)
  • Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4
  • Pixel Tablet
  • Fitbit Ace LTE, Sense 2, Versa 4, Charge 6, and Inspire 3

You can enroll within 60 days of purchasing a device from the Google Store, Google Fi, or other retailers.

How Claims Work under Pixel Care+

File claims through the Google Store website or My Pixel app. You can schedule repairs at a time and location that suits you. Replacement devices ship with free upgraded shipping, often next-day. Priority support is available for enrolled devices.

Pricing Structure

Costs vary by device:

  • Pixel 10: $9/month or $179 for two years
  • Pixel 10 Pro Fold: $16/month or $299 for two years
  • Pixel Watch 4: $5/month or $99 for two years

Loss and theft coverage adds $1-$2/month. Two-year plans are cheaper than monthly payments. Visit the Google Store for full pricing.

Program Administration

Google has partnered with Asurion to manage Pixel Care+. Existing Preferred Care or Fi Device Protection subscribers will transition to Pixel Care+ over the coming months.

Enrollment and Availability

You can enroll in Pixel Care+ when buying a device or within 60 days afterward. The program is currently available for newer Pixel and Fitbit devices, with potential expansion based on demand. Check the Google Store for details.
