A common gripe among Android users across the world is the lack of availability of certain services in regions outside the US. Earlier today,Google Magazines, a service that US users have been enjoying for quite some time has been made available down under, in Australia.
Android users in Australia can now finally install the Google magazines app from the Play Store and download single issues as well as subscriptions of their favourite magazine. While there may still be regions which do not have access to this service, it’s a good start by Google, and indicates that it is doing its bit to make popular services available to more and more regions.
Along with the service availability down under, the app has also been updated to bring about significant performance improvements, as well as the ability to read magazines straight from a desktop computer by accessing your Play Store account, which is pretty useful if one is locked down to a desk for most part of the day.
So if you’re in Oz, and have been missing out on your favourite reading, go ahead and grab the app from the Play Store.
