Quick software updates are one of the main reasons you buy a Pixel. Google promises as many as three Android version updates for its Pixel handsets, and today, they confirmed the same for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL too.
Announced on their support page for Pixel devices, Google now lists both of the new handsets, confirming that they will receive both the security updates and Android version updates till October 2022.
Given the recent trend, where Google has been pushing a new Android version every August-September, the company could release easily Android 11 next year, Android 12 in 2021, and Android 13 by October 2022.
So, if you are buying a Pixel 4, you can be sure that you will get to experience see four Android versions, from Android 10 (pre-installed) to Android 13 by the time software support is dropped for the device.
