The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are the second of their kind in the Pixel series that came to life in 2016. The duo was announced in Q4 2017, coming our way with Android Oreo preinstalled alongside a promise of three more Android OS upgrades, beginning with Android 9 Pie.
As usual, Android 9 Pie arrived on the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL first before other non-Google devices got it and the story is expected to be the same when the time comes for Android Q and Android R updates.
