Google Glass might no more be restricted only to eyeglasses. The Glass team at Google is developing a smart eyewear and related offerings, claim a number of job postings on the official Google website.

The explanation indicates at a potential expansion of the efforts taken by the Glass team. It also suggests that Google may envision the Glass as a family of classified wearable products instead of a single eyeglass mounted electronic device. The Google Glass struggled a lot to catch on with the customers for quite sometime.

Google seems to be ramping up its hiring process for the Glass team. Lately, the firm posted numerous job listing ads for the Glass team. Some of the vacancies include Human Factors Designer, Audio Hardware Manager, Hardware Automation Engineer for Manufacturing and RF Systems Engineer.

Google has stopped the sales of the initial Google Glass version priced at $1,500 in January this year as the interest among consumers and developers for the device started to slide drastically. Though Google continued to sell the device to manufacturing and healthcare businesses, the executives pointed that it was time for a halt and strategy reset.

The informative job postings create a stir as the Human Factors Designer listing cites that the person in the position should work with the researchers to supervise user studies as they gather and analyze the user behavior via server logs, benchmark studies, surveys, online experiments and other related methods.

The listing for the Audio Hardware Manager shows that the person should lead the development and execution of the audio hardware solutions in the upcoming concepts and products.

However, Google has declined to comment anything regarding the new job listings or the upcoming device.
