Google has expanded access to its premium NotebookLM Plus tool through its $19.99/month One AI Premium subscription plan starting February 10. The update gives subscribers five times more notebooks, daily queries, and audio summaries compared to the free version while introducing new collaboration features.

The paid plan allows users to create up to 500 notebooks containing 300 sources each – up from 100 notebooks and 50 sources in the free tier. Daily limits increase from 50 to 500 chat queries and from three to 20 AI-generated Audio Overviews that transform notes into podcast-style discussions.

"We’ve seen significant interest from consumers and students since launching NotebookLM’s enterprise version last December."— Kelly Schaefer, Director of Product at Google Labs

Students aged 18+ with valid U.S. college enrollment can claim a 50% discount through February 2026 – reducing the monthly cost to $9.99. The promotion aims to help learners convert course materials into study aids using Gemini Advanced’s writing tools across Docs and Gmail.

The update builds on NotebookLM’s September 2024 launch of Audio Overviews – a feature competitors like Meta and ElevenLabs later replicated – which lets users generate conversational explanations from uploaded documents.

One AI Premium subscribers also receive 2TB of cloud storage alongside priority access to new Gemini features in Google Workspace apps.
