Two new Gionee smartphones have appeared on the Chinese TENAA listing, but specifications are scarce. The Gionee GN5005L and the Gionee F106 both appear to be budget offerings running Android and with dual-SIM support. Both the devices also support TD-LTE and will most likely be China only.
Although it mentions Android operating system, we do not know the version. It could mostly be Android 6.0 Marshmallow, as Gionee isn’t very interested in providing the latest version of Android to its customers.
Apart from that, nothing else is known. It is best not to expect any high-end specs from these devices, as they are most likely low-end devices. We can speculate the release dates of these smartphones from the listings. It looks like the listing was approved last week, so we can expect the announcement to happen in early 2017.
The Gionee S9 was recently spotted with a blue coat of paint. There haven’t been any new Gionee smartphones leaked, so this is news that the company is working on providing more budget smartphones for the masses. We will let you know more when other details are available.
