Gionee could soon release another 4GB RAM toting device that would come with Android 7.0 Nougat OS pre-installed.
The device just made it mark over at Geekbench today, bearing the model no. A1. The Gionee A1 seems to be powered by Helio P10 processor, an octa-core ARM processor dubbed as MT6755V/C — in case you have been keeping tabs, it’s the one you’d see HTC One X10 too, one that posed for camera today.
Gionee already has a host of devices that come with 4GB RAM and an octa-core chipset, so what really new here is Android 7.0 OS.
Oddly enough, the scores are pretty low at 709 and 2814 points respectively for single-core and multi-core scores, but then again, there is really some sort of issue with the benchmark testing as it is listing the clock rate at 0 MHz. Maybe we caught it too early from Geekbench, eh? Well, looks like more benchmarks of the Gionee A1 coming soon.
Given Gionee poor track record with the updates, it’s easy to filter through why Gionee would rather launch a similar device based on Nougat upgrade, rather update one that they launched within 12 months of today.
