Gionee has just released a 16-second teaser on its Twitter handle, revealing the Indian launch date for its latest handset, the Gionee A1. Although the teaser doesn’t specifically mention Gionee A1 anywhere, the #BeA1 is more than the enough to decipher the not-so-subtle cryptic code.
As per the teaser, the Gionee A1 will be launched in India in 3 days, which leads to March 21 release date. If you were looking to buy a mid-ranger, we suggest you wait up a little, and give Gionee A1 a look, because it does look like a deserving candidate.
The teaser also indicates that the smartphone will be launched with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The Gionee A1 was first showcased at MWC 2017 last month.

In terms of specs, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, a quad-core MediaTek 6755 Helio P10 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable (up to 128GB) storage space.
The imaging department is taken care of by a 13MP camera (f/2.0) on the back. The standout feature, however, is the 16MP camera (f/2.0) on the front. There’s also a humongous 4,010mAh battery under the hood to provide the juice for the device.
The best Android. Made better.
