Shelter The Storm Quest Walkthrough

Step 1

At the Matsumae Outpost in Ishikari Plain, speak to the soldier who mentions a missing scout. Your map then points to Ishikari Farm north of the outpost.

Step 2

At the farm, talk to a woman who leads you to her daughter and the injured scout Ikeda in a shed. Follow them through narrow paths and agree to escort Ikeda back.

Step 3

While Ikeda recovers, Oni Raiders attack. Use stealth or direct combat to eliminate all enemies before moving on.

Step 4

Escort Ikeda and the settler’s daughter toward the outpost. Midway, an ambush occurs — defeat the raiders and continue the journey.

Step 5

Upon reaching camp, face a final wave of Oni Raiders. Defeat them with the help of Matsumae soldiers to trigger the closing cutscene and complete the quest.

Step 6

Receive 450 Mons and 6 Oni Raider Mask Pieces as your rewards.

Tips for completing

Use stealth on the first wave

The early enemies are often spaced out. Hiding in tall grass and using stealth kills can thin them out before direct combat.

Be ready for ambushes during escort

The escort path triggers additional Oni Raider waves. Keep your awareness up and protect the escorted NPCs.

Use crowd control or area attacks

In the mid and final waves, there might be groups. Having AoE attacks or crowd-control options helps. (This is general advice; not explicitly mentioned in sources.)

Progress before doing this quest

Ensure your gear / combat skills are decently leveled; this is not a trivial fight if underprepared.

Don’t stray too far while escorting

Staying close to Ikeda and the daughter helps avoid triggering extra trouble or losing them.
