How to get the Nine Tail armor

Step 1: Start the Kitsune quest

The path to obtaining Nine Tail Armor begins with The Yotei Six main tale. During this quest, a random enemy encounter in Yotei Grasslands will trigger an interrogation opportunity.

When confronting bounty hunters, roaming patrols, or hostile groups along rivers, defeat all enemies except the last one to automatically begin this interrogation sequence.

Step 2: Follow the Nupuru River

Once activated, follow the Nupuru River to reach its northernmost point, which leads directly into the Teshio Ridge region.

The northernmost point represents a significant destination that contains important quest objectives, puzzle elements, or confrontation scenarios essential for storyline progression.

Step 3: Progress through the Kitsune quest

Engage with hostile forces encountered along the route, including Lord Saito's army members who may provide additional story context. Expect multiple combat encounters as you penetrate deeper into their stronghold.

Step 4: Solve the fox statue gate puzzle

Locate and solve symbol-based statue puzzles based on environmental clues.

Climb the ladder that comes down and reach the upper building.

Step 5: Collect the Nine Tail armor

Find the armor set in the middle of the upper building within the hideout complex.

The complete set includes the Nine Tail Armor body piece, Nine Tail Acolyte Mask, and Nine Tail Acolyte Headband.
