Ghost of Yōtei’s New Game Plus arrives November 24, 2025, as a free update for PlayStation 5 players. This long-awaited feature lets players start a fresh run through Atsu’s quest while keeping all weapons, armor, abilities, and upgrades gained in the first playthrough. It offers a more challenging experience with new harder difficulty settings and adds two new trophies for completionists.
New features include a new currency called Ghost Flowers, which can be exchanged with a new merchant for over 30 cosmetics, including new armor sets and weapon dyes, plus 10 new charms.

Players can also earn an additional upgrade tier for their existing gear, enhancing customization and combat options.
Beyond New Game Plus, the patch introduces the ability to replay main story content in the post-game, supported by a new stats display. Accessibility has been improved by adding directional button remapping, making the game more playable for a wider audience.

The Photo Mode is enhanced with new filters, shutter speed control, and a composition grid, offering richer creative options for capturing in-game moments.

The New Game Plus update is expected to enrich the game experience, inviting both returning players and newcomers this holiday season to explore the mystical world of Ezo with fresh challenges and new features.
