Distant Hot Spring location and access requirements

The Distant Castle Hot Spring sits at the far northern boundary of Oshima Coast, tucked into a hillside just above Tamura Estate. It only appears on your map once you reach Chapter 2 and gain permission to traverse into Oshima Coast’s bright-pink cherry blossom forests. Before you set out, ensure you have:

  • Completed the Saito Brothers quest to unlock Oshima Coast fast travel
  • Acquired climbing stamina upgrades to scale steep cliffs

How to navigate from Miyama Village to the hot spring

Step 1

Fast-travel to Miyama Village, located on the southern edge of Oshima Coast.

Step 2

Head north from the village center along the winding riverbank until you spot a towering waterfall.

Step 3

Begin climbing the waterfall’s rocky face, using mossy ledges and handholds to ascend to its top.

Step 4

Once atop, continue uphill through the trees until you notice a lone red-leafed tree on a rocky outcrop.

Step 5

Approach the broken stone staircase to the tree’s left and squeeze through the narrow rock gap.

Step 6

Climb the final ledge to reveal the hot spring pool.
